Join us to learn about the world’s most famous wine regions: Burgundy & Bordeaux, which are totally different from one another. While Bordeaux is known for its history of commercial success, world renowned chateaux, and bold, age-worthy wines, Burgundy elicits a more emotional response from its admirers. Beyond their fabulously complex, delicious taste, there is a definite sensuality to Burgundian wines. Join us to discover the amazingly diverse grapes of France’s most beautiful wine region- the Loire Valley. In this class, we will taste 6 fine wines from three classic wine producing regions of France. We will learn about many different regional wine styles and what makes them unique (soil, climate, grape variety, winemaking philosophy). We will talk about how to choose wines for consumption versus collection, the importance of vintages in different wine regions, and the best food to pair with the wines.
