Naia Bodegas Aldial 2005/2006

Origin: Rueda, Castilla Leon, Spain

Varietal: 100% Verdejo

Tasting Notes: The 2006 Naia is fresh, lively, and aromatic with superb precision and plenty of crisp, lemony, honeysuckle-like fruit. Bright fruit flavors of grapefruit, lime and kiwi. Crisp acidity and a long dry finish.

Food Pairing: It would be a wonderful match with grilled seafood or shellfish over the next year. $14.59

La Piece Sous le Bras 2005

Origin: Southern Rhone, France

Varietal: A blend of 5% Roussanne, 5%Viognier, and 90% Chardonnay

Tasting Notes : Sixty percent tank-fermented and 40% aged in barrel, this wine possesses loads of apricot and honeysuckle, a light golden color, and good freshness, with hints of pair and delicious fruit in a crisp, medium-bodied style to drink over the next 1 – 2 years. Atteca Old Vines 2005

Origin: Calatayud, Spain

Varietal: 100% Grenache produced from the estate’s oldest vineyard (80-100 years).

Tasting Notes : The 2005 Atteca boasts pure raspberry liqueur notes interwoven with sweet cherry, pepper, licorice, and spice characteristics. This stunning 2005 can be enjoyed over the next 2-3 years. Robert Parker, August 2006, 90 Points

Torbreck Woodcutters Shiraz 2005/2006

Origin: Barossa Valley, Australia

Varietal: A 100% Shiraz from 10-20-year old vines.

Tasting Notes: Blackberry, raspberry, cherry, licorice, and peppery aromas soar from the glass of this full-bodied, opulent, voluptuously-textured wine. Boasting superb purity, length, and intensity, this beauty simply over-delivers. It should drink well for the next 7-8 years. 93 points Robert Parker, October 2006.

Limb Three Pillars Red 2001

Origin: Barossa Valley, Australia

Varietal: A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon: 27%, Shiraz: 23%, and Mourvedre: 50%

Tasting Notes: Deep red cherry color and a spicy bouquet with berry fruit.
On the palate it is rich and spicy with refined, soft tannins. The wine derives spiciness from the mourvedre, richness from the shiraz and berry flavors from the cabernet.

Food Pairing: This blend should pair well with red meats, barbecue, game, duck and spicy pork dishes such as stuffed pork chops. $13.49
